Rick Record, Executive Director of RCS, was born in Panama surrounded by a plethora of positive male role models that included his father, uncles and family friends. Although they didn’t consciously plan to mentor him, he gained so much from them in terms of skill building and communication. Those experiences prepared him for learning how to acclimate to the culture in California when his family moved here when he was a pre-teen. He adjusted quickly including learning English. He did well socially and educationally. After graduating from college, he worked for the state of California. Upon retiring, he pursuedhis passion: helping troubled boys and young men become productive citizens. Hear how Rick is making the world a better place by helping youth discover their best selves.
