Here are the 3 tips I learned from Lisa's talks-
All things are available to all of us- all these beautiful gifts that came wrapped in sandpaper. She had beautiful gifts, beautiful gifts that came wrapped in sandpaper, and some took me a month to understand, and some took her ten years to get to the gift because the sandpaper was so thick.
Manage imperfections well- Perfection is a false pursuit that will always leave you disappointed. Right? And so our job is to perfectly dance with our imperfection … I tell people, me and my imperfection, we will do the electric slide because I’m embracing it.” – Lisa Nichols. What imperfections do you see in yourself? If you’re anything like her, you might have a list of things you want to improve. For Lisa, she struggled to believe in herself. Over the years, Lisa learned how to dance with her self-doubt. When her insecurities would tell her that she wasn’t good enough, she’d answer with “I am worthy. You shouldn’t aim to be perfect. You should aim to be better. And for the things you can’t change about your lives, you need to learn to love those imperfections and embrace them. Your imperfections are not problems — they are stepping stones to growth.
Your story is the fuel- As individuals, you always have some story about yourself to understand your own personality, environment, and past. When you feed yourself a disempowering narrative, full of past wounds and present obstacles, you naturally start to believe in your own limitations. But when you choose to rewrite your story, you’ll find out there’s so much that you can accomplish.
