Trying to find a connection between random events can be ridiculous or even offensive. One can exist in a completely different stratosphere than the other in terms of meaning and significance. With that said, if a person can reaffirm or modify their convictions based on the actions of others, perhaps they can be forgiven for their attempt. It is my belief that sacrificial actions under a global lens often merit, at the very least, a check of one’s values and contributions toward a better world. At the core of this brief podcast is recognition—based on a recent event—of the universal truth that consequences are necessary to understand the fallibility of humankind.
