Welcome to the 2nd episode of WiSC Talks, co-hosted by Paula Amaya and Yasmeen Hmaidan! In today's episode we are joined by Dr. Samantha-Jo Caetano! (or as she prefers to be called Sam). &nbsp;Dr. Caetano is an assistant professor in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto, published researcher, and textbook co-author. Her research focuses on measuring concordance of time-to-event models, with a focus on validating models applied to cancer data. &nbsp;Today we will get to know her as we discuss adjustment to our new virtual world, being a female in academia, and validating statistical models used in cancer research studies! &nbsp;
