What is Faith?
Our God is abundant in love and steadfast in mercy. He saves us, not because we trust in a symbol, but because we trust in a Savior.

Why does faith matter?
Faith requires a personal commitment
Faith flows through conversion
Faith creates connection within the church
Faith generates community within the church
Faith brings Christian freedom
Stand firm and take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

The Role of the Shield
The shield allows withstanding attack
The shield focuses attention
The shield brings the possibility of arrangement
The shield gives assurance of stability
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

What is Salvation?
God’s salvation does not come in response to a changed life. A changed life comes in response to the salvation, offered as a free gift.

How should we handle faith and salvation?
Both will lead to spiritual life
Both bring stability in life
Both are meant to be shared
Both are the steadfast reasons for the church
Both give strength in the daily grind
