In Season 1 Episode 3, we discuss our first wedding together as a same-sex couple. We explore the difficulties of embracing our sexuality while attending an event rooted in gender roles. We dissect the reasoning behind our discomfort and how we can combat these feelings at future weddings and similar events. Were we too consumed by internalized homophobia or do weddings need to be more gender-inclusive? We end by highlighting the power of same-sex relationships and the freedom in deviating from social constructs.
