As a single mom of a daughter that struggles, I often feel alone in my own challenges and thoughts, let alone working for and advocating for her. Each episode brings nuggets of hope, wisdom, and connection! Each of our paths are unique because our kids and situations are unique, and yet we have a great deal in common. Thank you, Kendra, for taking your experience and turning it into work that helps so many!

A salve for parents carrying a heavy load
I just love this podcast. Kind, intelligent interviewing and wise guests who have “been there.” I sure coulda used this once upon a time when I was really in it with my special needs kiddo, and it’s a useful re-grounding even all these years later.

A breathe of fresh air!
I have listened to a lot of parenting podcasts and while funny and well done, none have ever fit my family — I’m the nonbiological parent of a preschool aged autistic son and a sassy so far typical two year old. This podcast is fantastic. It’s well done, informative, therapeutic even. It’s just the right balance of science and feelings. I hope there are many more episodes because this podcast provides parents like me a “home”. Bravo! I hope a future episode will cover the debate about ABA and whether it’s harmful or helpful as well as the tension between parents of autistic kids and the neurodiversity movement led by autistic self advocates.

In Gratitude
This podcast provides an insightful lens into the broad and deep experiences families encounter in raising children who have not developed in a typical path. The voice of experience is genuine and humbling as well as in-depth of “ ways of being and doing”. I look forward to more podcasts and interviews.
