Gaskins, a true sadist, committed his heinous crimes close to home, targeting victims personally acquainted with him. He justified his brutal actions by convincing himself that these individuals had wronged him in some way.
Using methods of torture, drowning, shooting, strangling, and stabbing, Gaskins terrorized his victims. He even claimed to have employed a karate chop to kill one victim, although this assertion, much like many of his statements, was obviously fabricated.
