From a small online blog to now a global platform, Brown Girl Magazine (BGM) prides itself on publishing content that “uplifts, creates deeper understanding and connection and cultivates rich dialogue,” where no subject is off limits. Through numerous interviews with BGM contributors, we will demonstrate the how and why: how the magazine develops content and reaches the South Asian community and why the communities—the BGM team and the readership—continuously engage with the content.
