Mike Pegg has been a "Googler" (meaning, he has worked at Google) for fifteen years. He takes us through a typical day at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California--from free made-to-order gourmet breakfasts to riding iconic colorful Google bikes around campus. Mike explains how microkitchens and TGIF--the "crown jewel of Google culture"--date back to the beginning of the company's history. We learn the definition of "Googleyness" (if there is one), and get into the company's arduous interview process. And we take a deep dive into the notorious Google perks, from massages to a bowling alley, and learn which celebrity Mike caught in a nap pod. Bonus points for any listener who catches how many lattes Mike typically drinks each day.
