I started listening and at the time believed that just like any other podcast it would run its cycle and become less interesting, after all, there is “only so much” to talk about parenting right?! O boy I was wrong… I only have 2 boys but they are so different and one is on ASD, and every week I find great tips, advices and the most important “it’s not just me” feelings. The books suggested are usually amazing and it makes my reading list busy and interesting!!! I quote both A & M several times a week 🙈🙈 my friends are used to it by now and several listen also!! I really love this podcast and it truly works for kids all ages, stages, genders, all topics. Love it

I would just about swear these hosts have my house/car tapped and are using my daily chaos to come us with episode topics, they are THAT relevant. Thank you WFH for dishing up what I need to hear with such humor and grace. I feel so seen.

This is my favorite podcast and the only one I have listened to consistently for YEARS! These two are so funny and down to earth, but still full of practical advice. I don’t really write reviews but I just had to write a review of this one because this is such a great podcast! They have been there and done that and have great stories to tell that we can all relate to. Plus, all of the Fresh Take episodes are a great way for me to learn something new and find a new author or someone I didn’t know about yet!

I love that they keep the discussions light and interesting but still stuff plenty of facts and statistics from studies in to the discussions! My favorite podcast about motherhood!

Amy and Margaret are Gen X moms with kids who are in their teens and tweens, but no matter what stage of parenting you are in, you can still gain a whole lot of helpful and stress relieving information. I had to turn off other parenting podcasts because they would just make me feel bad about myself. Not this pod — they do a great job at talking about parenting holistically and giving your kids a net positive upbringing, even if you’re not a perfect parent ❤️‍🩹

The moment I hear the music at the beginning of each episode, my blood pressure drops. I hoard episodes to listen to while I do laundry, mundane computer work, etc. This is BY FAR my favorite podcast; I love the intersection of science, best parenting practices, developmental psychology, and hilarious reflection. Amy and Meg are perfect hosts in my estimation, and I’ve learned so much from them.

As a pediatrician, and a single mom, I often feel like no one sees me. These ladies tear that curtain down and make me feel like I have a thoughtful and compassionate posse of hilarious moms to process this parenting journey with! The content is entertaining and helpful and reassuring that we really are laughing in the face of motherhood together. I have shared this with many moms who vote 100% this podcast has made them happier parents.

So many mom podcasts are either too dark and sad or swing to overly cheery. Parenthood is hard, but it’s worth laughing over too! This is my favorite “me time” podcast in that quiet car ride between dropping the kids at school and heading to work. Thanks for the laughs!

This is the perfect parenting podcast—interesting and informative topics, great dynamic between the hosts, and fun to listen to. I always come away feeling like I just hung out with two friends who totally get it, and I appreciate the new perspectives and humor they infuse into the topics. Also, if you’re looking for a gift for yourself, I highly recommend subscribing! The show’s ads aren’t bad, but it’s so satisfying to listen to episodes without interruptions (at least from ads—kid interruptions are another story lol). The bonus episodes are fun, too!

Margaret and Amy strike the perfect balance between informative and fun to listen to. They have so many relevant episodes that spread the course of time whether you’re expecting, or a new mom, young children or a mom of young adults. I find them so enjoyable to listen to and highly recommend this as a go-to parenting podcast!

I’ve enjoyed this podcast for years now. They are a good mix of humor, personal anecdotes (from them and listeners) and actual topic research. Very entertaining and feels like you are listening to 2 friends. The Ask Margret/Amy eps are great when you need a short distracting listen. They take each question seriously and give real solid practical advice, not just a vague answer. For anyone wondering, you can tell they are politically liberal but they don’t hit you over the head with it and aren’t obnoxious about it. So that’s win as well. Definitely give them a try!
