Q. 28 Wherein consisteth Christ's exaltation?A. Christ's exaltation consisteth in His rising again from the dead on the third day, in ascending up into heaven, in sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and in coming to judge the world at the last day.In His exaltation, Christ's reputation—His honour—was fully restored. God has highly exalted Him and gave Him the name which is above every name. And the one name that is above every name is Lord (Yahweh). Verse 11 says that all will confess that He is Lord.

The idea of imparting a body of truth (rudiments of the faith) is found repeatedly in scripture under many different terms and descriptions. We are not given a complete catechism or confession in the Bible. That is because we are to write our own according to the needs of the day. They must refute new heresies as they arise. Our Lord has called us to catechise in His church… to teach disciples the basics of the faith. Make the most of this instruction: memorise your Catechism, listen to the messages, and pray for the Spirit to work.
