In this episode of Western Teacher Live, we're talking alphabet soup sprinkled with added percentages, otherwise known as school funding.

Did you know that every public school in WA is underfunded by nine per cent?

That means public schools receive just 91 per cent of the minimum funding they need to meet every student's educational needs.

Private schools are funded to at least 100 per cent of the minimum funding they need to meet every student's educational needs, with many over. This is before funding received from private school tuition fees.

The state/federal school funding agreement is being reviewed and renegotiated this year, offering a once in 12 year opportunity to get the funding right.

Hear from President Matt Jarman and SVP Natalie Blewitt about what this means for each and every public school student, and what members, parents and the community can do about it.

We have a pivotal 12 months in front of us, and together, we can fix education.
