Steven Highburger has been deeply versed in Vedic studies since the 1990s and a teacher of Vedic Astrology, Ayurveda Hasta, Vastu, and Sanskrit. He is one of my main mentors in Vedic Astrology. Steven studied intensively with the world-renowned master of Vedic traditions, Hart deFouw, and he received the highest level of certification from the American College of Vedic Astrology. We will talk about Steven’s work with Hart and the importance of the student-teacher relationship. Steven is a graduate of the Ayurvedic Institute of New Mexico, where he spent four years studying the classical Ayurveda under Dr. Vasant Lad, and he’s on faculty at Mt. Madonna College of Ayurveda. Besides teaching at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, Steven teaches internationally and maintains a busy private practice in San Rafael, CA. A new cohort begins in January for his Vedic Astrology Level I three-year program, which he will tell us more about in today’s conversation.
