Sharon Hinton speaks to Persis Yu, an attorney, social worker, mother of two, and a long-time Hyde Park resident who is running for state senator in Norfolk and Suffolk counties. She discusses the need for change, the importance of communities being led by people from those communities, and her goals to support families, workers, and consumers. Sharon and Persis also talk about vocational education, deteriorating public school buildings, ranked choice voting, and the many things that local politics shape.
