On the final round of Slasher Series, we do the classic slasher/torture porn film; Saw. One of the first mainstream films that exhibited such gruesome and visceral scenes of pain. We deep dive into how this movie is a combination of a slasher and pain film with the idea of torture set pieces and how that connects with most slasher blueprints. We also talk about James Wan and what he’s accomplished after this film.

Thank you all for participating in the Slasher Series! We had a lot of fun seeing the results of everything and seeing what people wanted to see. There’s still lightning round voting to see who this the GRAND WINNER, stay tuned in out stories to vote!
