<p>June 18, 1990..Thirty years ago I joined the Army. I learned hand to hand combat, how to make a bunk, and expert rifleman and hand grenades.  All that training and I still could not use deadly force on someone unless they meet all the elements of the Rules of Engagement.  Thanks to James and Landon for the inspiration. </p>

The Cookout

I lost my son to suicide In 2019, he was 14 years old. I chart my path on dealing with grief as I heal and also I pray that it may help others dealing with a loss.  In life, people often take walks, preferably with a caring companion. While walking, you may smell the roses or take in the scenery, all while getting to know one another over a conversation and form a bond that includes lasting memories.  Walk with me and let me tell you how I'm doing and I how I have made it thus far.
