And, we rest. One sacred day a week, whether it’s Friday, Tuesday or Sunday, we dedicate to the restoration of ourselves for 24 hours. A day to allow our souls to catch up with our bodies. A day to celebrate. A day to resist the productivity grind of our cultures, and slow down. A day to acknowledge our own limitations. My day of rest is a Sunday, hence: the Sunday walk. A weekly meditation and prayer to ground you in God and the present moment. Abide. Today’s meditations come from the book, Readings From The Book of Exile by Pádraig Ó Tuama. The readings: 1. Binding the void with a name, 2. What I needed to hear.
