Show notes
My guest today is retired Air Force PJ and Combat Rescue Officer (CRO) Joe Barnard.
Joe had a 33 military career with 4 years in the Army then he transitioned to the Air Force and spent half of the rest of his career as an enlisted PJ and the other as a CRO with 9 combat deployments and 3 Humanitarian deployments. Joe retired as a Lt Col in 2016.  During his career, Joe faced multiple traumatic experiences.  In the show he discusses how he dealt with those professionally and personally.
He’s been married for 28 and he and his wife Meghan have 2 boys 24 and 22. Meghan is a former broadway style dancer and has been a Yoga instructor for the last decade. They traveled to South East Asia for 5 months after he retired and they settled in Jacksonville Fla. Joe was COO of a $32M, 120 person wireless construction company in Atlanta 2018-19 but decided to leave because it lacked fulfillment. He has applied to Jacksonville University for acceptance into MS program (Summer 2020) for Mental Health Counseling.
