A question or two
The “ad-free” show starts with 5+ minutes of an ad for the sock yarn that sponsors them. And then another 5 minutes of non-knitting chatter, and then maybe 1-3 questions and then they exclaim in surprise, EVERY TIME, “oh my goodness, we have an episode here, time just flew by!” as though they’ve accidentally run out of time to do the thing that’s in the show title. Definitely worth skipping the first 10min.

Love this show! Best knitting show
This show is amazing. It’s both educational for knitting and entertaining. Love listening to Stacy and her co-host Casey and now Polly. Thank you for all you teach us!

Excellent!
I didn’t know knitting podcasts were a thing until I found this one. After checking out several, VeryPink is now in my library. I’m working through the previous episodes and look forward to the new one each week. So glad they came back after their hiatus!

Great knitting podcast
This is a great knitting podcast. Very Pink Knits tutorial videos are great and this podcast is a nice chatty addition. I appreciate the high quality production as well as the pleasant voices and music. I only wish they were longer.

Off track
I think this podcast used to be better, when they didn’t banter so much. Staci is very knowledgeable and articulate when it comes to answering the questions and she does it thoroughly, but their outside chitchat is not enjoyable. Also, if they are not advertising Turtle Purl, what would you call it? “Sponsoring”. I hope they get back to business, then I will not ff over the first half.

More Knitting Talk
I really enjoy the podcast for the most part. Both ladies are really knowledgeable about knitting. It’s unique in the format of answering knitting questions, which I love. My only complaint, and the reason for only three stars, is there’s a lot of non-knitting talk some episodes. With a podcast this short, spending 10-12 minutes talking about TV shows, weather, dogs or children means only one or two knitting questions get answered. Then it loses its appeal for me. I’ve learned so much from Staci’s channel and this podcast, just wish there was more knitting talk!

Hmm
I like this podcast, though some aspects are a little frustrating. As of this review they call it “ad-free,” but always mention their sponsor yarn dyer, which is a little odd, no? They keep the episodes short because they like short podcasts, but much of the content is unrelated chatter—which, if you have a burning knitting question you are hoping they will answer, I imagine is pretty agonizing. Definitely not the place to submit questions you actually need answered!

Laugh
Although the knitting info is helpful, after listening to many episodes, I can no longer listen because of the laugh Staci does many times in each episode. I find it very annoying and can no longer lusten.

I want to like it more than I actually do….
When they stay on topic , you can really learn a lot about this wonderful craft. Unfortunately, a good bit of time is spend on personal jibber jabber, reading gushing emails and hitting the listeners up to support their “ad free” podcast. Then there’s an ad for a particular yarn company. Then you hear about their peloton bikes and peloton friends. Rather hard to reconcile either with requests to become a “patron.” Stick to the well delivered and insightful knitting advice , please!

Love this podcast
I recently stumbled into this podcast when Stacy mentioned in Instagram that they are resuming this. For some reason it starts only from episode 80 or so here and I have gone back all the way to listen from there. Bonus benefit now that I can listen to these 2 amazing ladies chat about knitting I have been going for longgg walks everyday!! They give me a reason to look forward to my walks and get some exercise done!

So glad you’re back
I’ve watched every episode since you started and was a bit disappointed when you decided to take a break. Then I started looking for replacement podcasts and didn’t realize what a gem your podcast is. I now appreciate your down to business approach to answering questions AND at the same time your personal conversations with Casey leaves me wanting more. Perfect amount of sharing knowledge combined with the human side of life. Soooo glad you’re back. Annie from San Diego.

Great podcast
I just started listening a couple of months ago and I started with #1 and I’m now on 118. I really enjoy chemistry and knowledge. Also impressed with their sponsors. Keep up the good work. Worldwide_knitter Instagram

If you’re a knitting, you will love this podcast!
Stacie and Casey do an awesome job magically turning knitting questions into knitting answers. No matter you’re level you are sure to learn something from listening.

Not enough content
I thought I would try this podcast due to so many great reviews. Over half the time was spent on worthless irrevalent crap. I couldn't cae less what concert they went to last weekend! If it was just a couple of minutes it would be fine. Less than half the podcast was spent on knitting information. My time will be spent listening to other podcasts.

Very fun!
Whether you’re a novice or an expert, this podcast is a fun listen.

Having a good time
I’m not a knitter (I crochet, very basic level) but I’d like to learn how. So I’m absorbing a lot of the stuff by just listening now! Love it!

Love it!
Great, fun, short episodes. Staci is so knowledgeable and still very good at explaining things for all levels. Their friendship is charming and I do enjoy their off-topic chats and detours. Good mix of interviews and Q&A. One small gripe: when Casey reads the questions, she stumbles on her words every single time. She sounds like she’s never seen the question before and it makes her seem unprepared although I doubt she really is. A small issue but it’s distracting and easy to fix.

Learning made fun!
Very Pink Knits is always chock full of helpful tips thanks to the Q & A format. Staci and Casey are very compatible co-hosts. They have different approaches to knitting with Staci being very monogamous while Casey enjoys having multiple projects going at a time. Quite frequently Casey shares interviews with people directly or indirectly affiliated with the fiber world. The content is always educational and enjoyable.

More time for Q&A
I’m listening to a podcast as I write this review. It took 14 minutes to get to questions. This Q&A portion is informative and useful but the Podcast spends more time on general chat. I like the interviews. If anything is cut to make this a better podcast I suggest cutting the discussions on food and Tetris. (The podcast I’m listening to didn’t have any interviews but with chat and ads I only got to hear one question.)

Great Production for Knitters
I just love it. Easy listening and chock full of knitting facts, fun field trips and more ... all in a relaxing format — with great sound!! I haven't missed an episode.

Love, love , love it!
Never even would have guessed a podcast would teach me anything other than about new patterns or a way to use Ravelry better. I’ve started at the very beginning and can’t stop ! I’m up to 5 or 6 episodes a day! My new fix!

My Guru
Staci’s videos were my primary instruction for learning to knit. The way she teaches helps you understand your knitting to more effectively use tips picked up here and there. With the podcast, I find Staci and Casey pleasant to listen to and learn about concepts, products and general knitting ideas from their podcast. They are humorous too. Once in a while they chatter too long, but it’s nice that they’re real people, not robots, so it’s all good. This is one of only a hand full of podcasts I subscribe to and listen to regularly.

Love this podcast!
I love listening to this podcast and now that I’ve listened to all the 100+ episodes, I find myself guessing correctly Stacie’s answers to the questions asked by listeners. I’ve learned tons! Thank you

Informative and charming
I love this podcast-I learn something new every episode about technique and how knitting relates to the world at large, be it mathematics or global warming (and everything in between). The hosts banter is funny and thoughtful. I have never even bothered to review a podcast before, but I just had to bc of all the enjoyment this one has given me. Definitely worth a listen...careful though, you might end up binging on them like I did!

Love Staci & KC!
I really enjoy this podcast. While I enjoy the interviews, I think it’d be better to have an hour long podcast for interviews & listener questions.

Awesome and Inspiring
I love this podcast! It has ruined me for most other knit podcasts as I love the interaction between Staci and Casey and the answering of questions. I've learned so much just listening. My only regret is the length of the podcast. I discovered this podcast around release of episode 82, so I was able to catch up during walks with my dog, which tend to be about 50 minutes to an hour, so I was listening to 2 episodes per walk. BUT, keep up the great podcast girls!

Can’t Get Enough!
I just can’t get enough of this informative and educational podcast. I hate for it to end each week. Keep up the great work ladies. You are my “go to to” knitting gurus for learning and sometimes even validating what I think I know. Thanks so very much!!!!

I look forward to this every week
I really like listening to Staci and Casey. It's like meeting up with my girlfriends once a week. My favorite thing is listening to the knitting questions, answers and digressions. It's a fun journey, and I've learned a ton. The problem is that with the ads and the banter and the field trips, Staci and Casey sometimes only answer two questions in some shows. If I had to make recommendations for improvements, I'd say cut down the recorded field trip interviews to 5-7 minutes. Some of them run for 15 minutes or more, which is way too long. Trust me. I’m a producer. It can be done. And I don't know how much sponsors are paying to run 90-second ads before the podcast, but it's a turnoff. I fast-forward through them.

I learned so much in the first episode...
Holy cow this show is so informative. I can’t wait to listen to all the episodes. I like to listen to the hosts’ soothing voices as I knit.

So much fun...and oh yeah, very informative!
Staci and Casey are such fun to listen to. Whether magically answering knitting questions, or presenting a topical interview, or enjoying puppy escapades, the time flies and you’ll find yourself laughing while learning.

Fun podcast
I found Staci’s videos almost 5 years ago and learned to knit from them. It’s great to listen to this podcast because it does answer questions that you might have but don’t have anyone to ask. Staci and Casey are so fun to listen to. My husband even enjoys listening. I hope they keep on making videos and podcasts to help us younger knitters (I don’t mean my age either cause I’m older than her)

A true knitting guru
Staci is my go to when I need knitting help. She explains things in such a thorough and easy to understand way. I feel I come away a smarter knitter. And...there is always time for a laugh or two.

Comprehensive and fun
I look forward to this podcast every week. It is without a doubt the best knitting podcast I’ve found to date. The interviews are always educational and exciting. Kasey and Stacey are so knowledgeable and have a wonderful chemistry. I feel like I have my knitting best friends hiding my speakers.

Another Awesome Resource
Staci has been my go-to resource for knitting question and videos since I first discovered her years ago. The podcast is another terrific way to learn more about knitting. Staci and Casey make a great team and I look forward to their weekly podcast.

Love this podcast!
Staci and Casey always have great information and listening to their interaction with each other is fun. The Q&A is great and the interviews are always interesting. So glad this podcast is available. I look forward to hearing them every week.

Obsessed!
Just learned of Stacie’s podcast and have been binge listening from the very beginning! Been a hug fan of Stacie for years...her YouTube channel taught me to knit 7yrs ago, and crochet 5yrs ago! My go to for any questions or technique I’m looking for!

Great knitting but social topics inappropriate
Love the podcast generally but the occasional weaving in of topics that really shouldn’t be discuss in mixed company (people who have different beliefs than topics being promoted) undermines Staci’s work and makes me want to tune out. This happens on occasion but enough to have caused me to post. Otherwise, as I said it’s a nice podcast to get information on many common knitting questions and Staci does a nice job explaining. There’s a time and place for discussing gender fluidity for example but a knitting podcast is an inappropriate place in my opinion. That’s not why I’m here.

Enjoyable and informative
I always look forward to VPK podcasts. I have learned so much from Staci throughout the years by watching her videos on YouTube. I am on the fence about the “field trips”. I just love the Q&A format and sometimes, particularly if it’s a topic I don’t enjoy, I feel cheated on the Q&A portion. I will say it’s my hang up and overall the podcast is wonderful. I have listened to several knitting podcasts and I feel this one is the best.

Excellent
Great q&a podcast for everything about knitting. Plus great interviews that explore the knitting world.

Thank you
I have listened to every Very Pink podcast since it started. I have learned so much. I especially like this podcast because there is not alot of "fluff" ie talking about things that have nothing to do with the craft. My pet peeve is when I start listening to a podcast about a subject and I have to listen to the person's trip to their grandmother's house for 10 minutes before they get to it. Thank you Stacy for all your help. I highly recommend this podcast to all level of knitters.

My knitting buddies
This podcast is what I hoped for when I joined a knitting group at my LYS-a place to bounce off gnarly questions that no one else answers. (Instead I got into an argument with a person who contended that one row consists of both across and back, and I thought, how in the world have you ever got anything to fit? So not the highbrow discussion I was hoping for.) This podcast is the antidote! Staci knows A LOT and is so generous with her information. Casey has great ideas as well, providing wonderful counterpoint and sometimes coming up with just the thing I am thinking. In addition to both hosts giving great answers to knitting questions from all over the US and the world, Casey does great interviews with interesting people. The interplay and chat between them is great to listen to! kudos!

Has Potential 2
As the other commenter stated (a year ago); the podcast is an admirable effort by a highly respected knitting instructor. As a listener, I'd prefer less time spent on "housekeeping" -- just record it, play it at the top and the close of each episode and get on with the show. I, too, would appreciate more questions and answers within the twenty minutes. The YouTube videos are top notch. I, too, know Staci is capable of a tighter format but to still keep it fun and light! Thanks for the podcast and I look forward to you tightening it up a bit.

One of the best knitting podcasts!!

My favorite knitting podcast
This is my favorite knitting podcast. Staci and Casey always leave me a little smarter and give me a laugh or two. They read and answer knitting questions from the public, or as they say "magically turning knitting questions into knitting answers. You don't know what you don't know until you hear it. Also, It's perfect at under 30 minutes. I tend to not even listen to a podcast if it's longer than 30 minutes. Give a listen.
