When I was a kid - well D&D seemed very masc. As a latecomer to TTRPG- I was looking for guidance, and this crew is gold. How to stack damage? Check. How to do character development? Check. and actually do something with downtime .. thank you so much! Definitely buying the book!

Since I started listening to the show I have gotten the chance to try being the DM, and Celeste is my inspiration <3 one day I hope to write my own campaign and create a world that feels as real and special as the one the Venture Maidens wove together :) so excited for all the things you will continue to create!

Really enjoy this actual play show! Equally as good as Critical Role and other top shows. Everyone who is a fan of D&D podcasts should give it a listen. Has a unique perspective/flavor because of the excellent DM and cast!

This is a fun, lighthearted, and exciting actual play D&D podcast that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is easy to pick up and follow and the DM keeps the story moving smoothly no matter which direction the characters go. Listening to this podcast transports me to a wonderful world with characters/players who are comfortable and relaxed. I am so glad I found Venture Maidens!

I am on episode 18 and I am so excited to have so many episodes to look forward to!

I like to look through reviews and see what people say for less than 5 stars. And most i feel didn't give the story a chance, didn't like the characters, players or DM, for whatever reasons. I'm only 16 episodes in and it's GREAT! As a new DM myself i find Celeste's story telling to be exactly how any DM would tel the story, messing up here and there but making an engaging experience! The players all stay true to their characters which is nice, they don't Meta too much, it happens at every table. And they aren't just murderhobos, while Kara does kill some NPCs who dont need to be, its within her characters understanding of the current events. Just because the player knows doesn't mean the character does All in all a very enjoyable story looking forward to finishing campaign 1

Started with Campaign 2, and have been listening nonstop. The world building and role play is always fun and creative and often also heart touching.

I’m writing this review right before I listen to the last episode of the first campaign. I honestly cannot even begin to explain how much this podcast means to me. I found it at a really low point in my life, a couple of months ago and I am always itching for my next opportunity to listen to an episode. Whether it’s at work or working out, I find myself thinking about the characters and the story and the players. The story line is so captivating, the characters and their convictions are so compelling and Celeste is truly just a top notch DM. I have no idea how they’re able to truly embody their characters, NPCs alike, and really convey what they’re feeling. I’ve never even played DnD before but listening to this podcast makes me want to, so badly. I recommend this show to literally anyone who will listen to me talk. It also makes me teary eyed being able to sort of speed run every episode and realize, truly, just how far these maidens have come. I hope it keeps going strong with vast success, for more years to come.

This is kind of a sweet spot where there’s rich storytelling and enough genuine humor without feeling like anyone is trying to force it. Celeste does a really great job with NPCs and the whole crew do a perfect job building their characters and building up each other. You really get the sense these are really good friends playing the game the best way! Really love it!

First foray into podcasts and a lover of DnD as a kid…brought me way back and am enthralled by the maidens and their adventures. I’m all in catching up, listening, laughing and at the edge of my seat…SO CREATIVE AND FUN!

This podcast is great! I started watching during the pandemic to not go insane, and now I can’t stop! The only bad thing I can say about it is that they need better audio quality/ regulation.

Short and sweet…if you like D&D or tabletop RPGs in general this is a don’t miss podcast. Dramatic when it needs to be, funny without going overboard with the humor like many actual play podcasts do, and featuring people you’d love to have at your own table…I can’t say anything at all bad about Venture Maidens!

I started listening to this podcast during the pandemic so I didn’t go crazy, and I don’t regret a moment of it! A perfect mix of casual roleplaying and more serious encounters, this podcast is perfect for anyone looking for a laidback and entertaining approach to Dungeons and Dragons. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried (thanks Celeste), and I highly recommend the series. You won’t regret it!

Oh my goodness! This is really one of the best dnd podcasts I’ve found, with an engaging and fleshed out plot, hilarious characters and good character development, and an amazing cast. As a bonus, it’s really cool to listen to a dnd podcast where the characters aren’t all male. My family thinks I’m crazy because I’m always laughing while doing laundry, but whatever. Seriously, listen to this!

As a female D&D player and DM myself, I have found the D&D space to be relatively male-dominated, so I adore getting to hear these folks play a full cast of female adventurers! Their banter and genuine friendship is so sweet and it’s easy to tell that they’re all having a lot of fun together. The story as crafted by Celeste and enhanced by the maidens is so amazing! I can’t wait to keep listening!!!

Found this while trying to learn how to be a dungeon master for my own game, it took one episode and I was hooked. The stories are well made and the world so fleshed out that it is amazing, the PCs play so well off each other and seem to have created fleshed out characters that play as breathing people. It is a lot of fun to see the adventure unfold with new twists, turns and surprises that makes it a bingeworthy podcast for a long day at work or just to spark the creative energies. If you play Dnd, if you WANT to play Dnd, or if you just want to be entertained, this is definitely for you. Whatever your tastes: adventure, action, comedy or just having a good time, these adventurers will pull you in and leave you entertained! So gather round, draw a glass and lose yourself in these sessions, and at the end I am always eager for the next go round.

I was super excited to find an all-female/non-binary DND podcast. I’m only on ep 16 (actually watching their YouTube videos!) but I’m hooked. Great energy, amusing interactions, and just the right amount of flirtatious humor. Easily one of my favorite DND podcasts. More DND fans need to know about the Venture Maidens!

As a New DnD player, I wanted to listen to some podcasts before playing to get a feel for how the game works... Came upon Venture Maidens and Wow! I am hooked. Started at episode 120 something and have gone back to the beginning to hear the tale from beginning—- Celeste,Brittany, Naseem, and Sage make the journey interesting, and joyful as their characters travel from one adventure to another. Their open dialogue helps create an environment that is exciting, funny and poignant. I look forward to listening every day on my commute to work. Thanks people... Venture Away!

Love the Maidens. This show feels the most like a game I’d want to play in. Celeste is a very creative and fun DM and the three PCs fully embrace the role play, but they still feel like just cool people to hang with. I’m not gonna lie, I don’t love CR (nobody’s games work like that, and others just have a bunch of annoying players (ex. You Meet in a Tavern), but this group is just right.

This is so great. I need D&D podcasts to make it through my overnight shifts at the hospital! Thanks!

Without a doubt an absolute pleasure to binge this podcast! It’s an emotional rollercoaster of every kind. The Gintama anime of the actual play podcast world. Their voices and descriptions paint a picture both detailed and tastefully bulged. I will be so sad to reach the end and have to endure weeks between each episode.

I started listening to this podcast after finishing another great dnd podcast (join the Party) and this is now my favorite podcast

I started listening to Venture Maidens after a search for an all-female DND podcast. I listened to a recap episode around episode 70 then finished through the newest episode. I then started listening to another popular DND podcast...I just couldn’t get into it! Probably because I knew there were more Venture Maidens episodes sitting out there waiting for me. So I came back and started listening from episode 1. I love the hosts, the characters, and that I learn more about playing DND. I’m dreading the moment that I run out of episodes. I recommend this podcast to all of my friends that play DND!

I may only be a few episodes in, but starting this podcast at my partner’s instance may be my best quarantine decision yet! The cast has great charisma, and while all three maidens are lovable, Kara immediately stole my heart. Celeste is an inspiring DM who has a knack for storytelling that allows her to weave a compelling and detailed narrative that easily engages both players and listeners. Can’t wait to catch up and see what these lovely adventurers get up to!
