Two wonderful personalities
Don’t need to specify but, much yin/yang energy going on here. Good story telling

Always makes me smile - and cringe
Alexandra's Bye Felipe concept is brilliant, bringing to light the collective insanity that is online dating and apps so we can all trauma bond over it - but more importantly, laugh at its fallacies and try not to take it so seriously. She and Alison bring wit, humor, and great insight to a topic everyone seems to have a opinion (and horror story) on: dating and relationships.

I’ll be honest, I started out lukewarm on this podcast but have grown to love it over time—kind of the way you grow to love someone with a distinctive personality. Paradoxically the pandemic episodes are probably my favorites for their vulnerability and inward focus. Selfishly, as a mid 30s woman I’ve also loved it when the discussion dips into big life choices like whether or not to have children and figuring out a different path than the one laid out for you. Anyway, amazing work Alexandra and Alison! I hope you keep producing episodes for years to come. (And if anyone’s seeking bonus content, Alison’s audio drama is super hilarious and heartfelt.)

I’m over it
I’ve listened since the beginning, and I used to really enjoy the guests and different topics. However, I felt that the podcast was starting to decline a little last summer when even their guests seemed bored and aimless, but hey, we all have ebbs and flows and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, the first five minutes of their latest episode is them talking about their Amazon purchases: LED lights and a garbage can, which seems particularly insensitive during a civil rights movement. I don’t dislike either of these girls, and I think they’re both smart and funny, but I also think their energy would be better spent on other projects at this point.

You’ve Changed... :-/
You know, I really used to dig the frank, open, sex positive conversations that this podcast yielded and appreciated how candid some of the guests were, but lately it just seems like a lot of complaining. And the conversations cut off very abruptly at the one-hour mark with one of the hosts usually saying “well, that’s about it.” I don’t know that their hearts are in it, anymore. Kind of a bummer, to be honest.

Single or not listen
I listen to this podcast almost everyday (I started listening late and have a lot to catch up on) I love it so much. Alexandra and Alison are two of the funniest and relatable women ever and I audibly laugh every time I listen.

Hilarious and informative!
So much awesome info, and it feels like I’m hanging out and dishing saucy stories with friends!

Love how real these two are!

Insufferable
I have been listening to this since the beginning and really wanted to like it. I follow both of them + byefelipe on Instagram so it seemed like a sure thing but good god...I hate to say it but they just sound so dumb sometimes and not in a fun or silly way. They also need to learn how to do patreon bonus content right — stopping literally mid-conversation is more than aggravating. But what really pushed me over the line to unsubscribe and to give it 1-star is they just interviewed a therapist who used the R-word and a) they left it in the episode and b) they didn’t address it either the interview or the intro. Can’t help but wonder if they would do that if a guest used any other offensive slur...

depressing guests
Please stop to bring these annoying guests ! The guy from last week was so depressing and empty. And for the hosts, try to be more deep, avoid so many generic and basic comments.

Very Cathartic
This podcast is still enjoyable to listen to even when you're (somehow, magically) not single anymore. Also weird that someone else reviewing apparently wants these women to stay eternally single as if they don't have experience and anecdotes to share that I feel are funny and cathartic. For the most part, really great guests. My only criticism is I need these ladies to talk louder into the mic--especially Alexandra--because I have a janky, loud car and sometimes I can barely hear them. Otherwise, keep up the great work, ladies!

Decent!
The podcast was better when Allison was actually single & sharing stories of her dating experiences. I’m obviously happy for her but what are we listening to now?

Obsessed with this podcast. Recently got a divorce after a 9 year relationship, and so much has changed in the dating world since then. I love hearing their hilarious and insightful perspectives.

10/5
I look forward to this podcast every Thursday. Allison and Alexandra are funny, honest, and vulnerable. Grateful they are willing to do relational work on a podcast for all of us to hear. Plus their guests are always equally fantastic. Some personal favorite episodes are Whitmer Thomas, Penelope Gazin, and Shereen Lani Younces.

Real life!!
V Single is super fun. Alexandra and Allison are super real, funny, and creative. Unfortunately, their content is all too relatable and while it won’t speak to everyone’s experience, it represents a lot of the population (read millennial/gen X, ciswomen, lgbtq folks, people of color). I like their guest spot, and they have brought on an awesome array of people to talk about dating, feminism, navigating ghosting, and reframing “failed” dates and relationships. Thank you ladies!

Super Relatable Fun Podcast
I LOVE this podcast! It feels like I’m sitting around talking with friends, and as someone who was the single friend for the majority of my twenties it’s super relatable! Side note: I love when Alexandra’s cat chimes in! đŸ˜»đŸ˜č

Meh
For a podcast focusing on being single, the hosts (well one of them at least) sure are demure about what they will divulge. I love Bye Felipe content but I think this sort of thing just works better in that milieu, especially if you’re diverting your somewhat voyeuristic listeners to the “extras” in order for us to hear the juicer stories. I realize it’s a newer podcast and the flow might not be that great yet; maybe the chemistry is just off with these ladies but something’s gotta give or it won’t last. The guests by and large have been great though.

This podcast is oddly personal and gives listeners all the tools they need to find out who the subject of these conversations are (the ex in question for example), which is at the best invasive and at the worst dangerous for the folks not on the podcast. The people discussed have not consented to having their personal, sometimes painful experiences aired to the public. Shame on these podcasters and their guests.

I only listen for the guests
These two girls have the most annoying voices I’ve ever heard and their conversation always seems so forced and awkward. All of their guests so far, however, have been great and very insightful

Love the podcast
I’m really enjoying this podcast— it’s so funny and relatable. As a v single person it’s always nice to not feel so alone. My only critique would be that Allison says the word “like” really excessively. I’m listening to episode #9 as I write this because she said it so many times that I couldn’t wait until the end to point out the frequency of usage. There’s nothing else negative to say about this podcast, it’s so fun and always makes me laugh. Keep it up, ladies =)

So much to learn from!
As a young female 21 year old college student with very little dating experience this is super insightful and helpful! I feel like I can save myself so much hassle and heartbreak from listening to your stories and advice. Also very funny and relatable hosts! Love it.

I love this! Been listening while I file things at work and it's like hanging with some girl buds who make it ok to be awesome and not dating at the moment. More than just about being single, I think these honest conversations are about being a young woman who is working on embodying herself and learning to love herself in the midst of all the weird expectations we encounter as women. Love love:)

Alexandra Tweten’s kills it!
I first heard of Alexandra through her Bye Felipe work which is great. She continues to impress with her insights on dating. She’s hilarious! Also, super pretty! Alison’s on this podcast too.
