She’s been busy over the last couple years, writing two books — “Queerfully and Wonderfully Made: A Guide for LGBTQ+ Christian Teens” and “Welcoming and Affirming: A Guide to Supporting and Working with LGBTQ+ Christian Youth” — and producing two documentaries — ”White Savior: Racism in the American Church” and “Ending The Silence: Confronting Sexual Shame in the Church.”
We talk about the Amazon review that inspired the name Totally Gay Productions, creating the resources she wishes she had as a teenager, addressing the curiosity (and ignorance) of horny teens, why Smitten Kitten is in L’s book, the negative impact of churches on the world, the ups and (mostly) downs of Rainbow Capitalism, the lack of trans representation across almost all media, getting past apologizing for queerness, segregation in churches, and a whole lot of TV.
