Welcome back to the Unsaid Truth podcast presented by Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

This week our hosts Jerrin and Khadija are joined by entrepreneur and bestselling author, Patrice Washington. Patrice started her first business as a realtor at just 19 years old, while she was still attending university, using the tools at university to help her grow. Almost 10 years later the recession hit and she lost everything. It was at her lowest point that she picked herself up to start the business that she has today.

From the very beginning, Patrice knew that she was called to be an entrepreneur. Throughout this episode, you’ll learn about the pivots and failures that make up her journey. You’ll also learn about personal branding vs. business branding and solopreneurship vs. entrepreneurship. You’ll hear Jerrin and Khadija share their stories around entrepreneurship and their personal journeys into the corporate world as a result of their experiences.

Finally, if you’re feeling the pull to entrepreneurship, get an honest take on social media’s role in our decisions and steal the cheat codes that Patrice, Khadija, and Jerrin want to pass along for your own journey.

Remember to subscribe and tune in wherever you get your podcasts. We’ll see you next week, new episodes are out every Wednesday.
