Kid Fonque had humble beginnings as a bedroom DJ playing a sound that wasn’t mainstream. He stayed true to this sound and bit by bit, he built a stellar career as the host of one of South Africa’s top electronic music shows, Selective Styles, founder of the house record label Stay True Sounds, and most recently, as the Director of A&R for the iconic UK based record label Defected Records.
