I really wanted to title this episode, “I Could Talk to You About Placentas Forever,” but I landed on “Consequences of Being a Multicellular Organism.” Episode 7 of #DontMentionIt is a conversation with Dr. Amy Boddy, PhD, where we talk about her research in fetal microchimerism, cellular trade-offs and cancer defense, and we get star struck (organ struck?) and nerd out over that most transitory and wondrous of bodily organs, the placenta.
