Day 3 had A LOT of excitement and perhaps the Swim of the Year! Michigan’s Maggie MacNeil torched a 48.89 100 Butterfly to become the first woman ever to break the 49-second barrier and bring home Michigan’s first NCAA Title in the event. NC State solidifies their spot in 2nd place behind Virginia after a trio of NCAA championships to bring home to Raleigh. Sophie Hansson got things going by winning the 100 Breast (57.23) and was followed up by Katherine Berkoff in the 100 Backstroke (49.74) for NC State’s second win of the night. To close out the evening, the quartet of Berkoff, Hansson, Rowe, and Alons took down Virginia in a wire-to-wire victory in the 200 Medley Relay (
