Karl Whelan has been Professor of Economics at University College Dublin since 2007. Previously, he worked for the Central Bank of Ireland and the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC. Currently, Professor Whelan acts as an advisor to the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.
