As the US debt grows (now over $31 Trillion) the question comes up, will it ever be repaid? Not likely.

Separately, the chatter around a retail CBDC in the US has increased, as indicated by Project Hamilton and recent press by the Treasury. Why would Americans accept a retail CBDC?

If it were part of a currency revaluation, it might be a very attractive offer.
