In honor of Black History Month, Two Kosh Girls take on Jori’s Black and Jewish upbringing. We talk with Jori’s dad, James Holloway, about his conversion to Judaism almost thirty years ago, and how he acclimated to becoming a member of the tribe. We also dive into the similarities between Black and Jewish histories, and how our narratives intertwine. Jori chimes in with her experiences growing up mixed, and becoming confident with her diverse identity when she arrived in Israel for her gap year.
