05/01/2022GODLY PURPOSES AND PLANS - NotesHello and welcome to the first episode of The Truth Journey TIPS podcast. I am your host, Debra Love. TIPS stands for “Truth in plain sight”. Truth Journey: TIPS came about over the years as I was researching Black history before slavery. We all know that there has been a lot of plagiarizing, whitewashing, and destruction, among other things, to conceal Black history. What stood out for me is that so much information is involving things that we use and or have known about forever. Truth is hiding in plain sight. The key to recognizing truth is to first understand purpose. When you know the purpose, it gives you a whole new perspective. It’s like knowing purpose give you insight.The late Dr Myles Munroe, well known, motivational speaker, educator, and Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries, said, “When purpose is not know, abuse is inevitable.” If you do not know the purpose of a thing, you are very likely to abuse it. I made ‘understanding purpose’ the foundation of my research and studies. I went from asking the LORD “Why is there so much hate for Black skin”, to “What is Your original intent and purpose for Black skin”.The Bible tells us a lot about purpose (All scripture is KJV).Proverbs 16:4 – The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil..Everything and everybody has a part in the overall plan/purpose of the Heavenly Father, or for the atheist, for the Universe. In the Book of Genesis we learn some of those purposes:The firmament’s purpose is to divide the waters. The sun’s purpose is to rule the day. The moon purpose is to rule the night. Man’s purpose is to subdue the earth.Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.Eccle 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavenJeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.On the next episode, we are going to look closer at the purpose of the sun.If you are interested in joining me on this journey, Subscribe to our podcast.
