Well, at least I can read the movie and watch the book. This month we watched something that’s been on my list for a long time. They’re pretty different from anything we’ve watched before actually, these are the first proper “heist” movies that we’ve watched for this podcast. We’ve run through quite a gamut of genres so it’s kind of cool to find one we haven’t found it. It’s Oceans Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, directed by Steven Soderbergh and released in 2001, 2004, and 2007.Show-notes:1:40 Logan Lucky is Steven Soderbergh’s new movie.2:18 More about the Rat Pack.4:56 Check out our episode on the Bourne trilogy.5:07 Don Cheadle has done movies a little more than he’s done tv according to his wiki page.9:42 It’s Circle, and it’s actually 3 years old.18:01 It was George Nolfi’s script Honor Among Thieves.22:58 One of these foxes is actually a cat.Kiyan’s Recommendations:Tristram Shandy (I said this was by Henry Fielding but it’s actually by Laurence Sterne)Pamela & ShamelaDon QuixoteTale of GenjiThe Back RoomFrankenstein in BaghdadThe Meursault Investigation (a response to Camus’ The Stranger)Seventh Function of Language by Laurent BinetEver 17Ocean’s 11/12/13 stuff:5 things you didn’t know about Ocean’s 11Ocean’s 11 making of documentary thing from HBOExtensive look at Ocean’s 11 productionOcean’s 12 b roll from screenslamThings you never knew about Ocean’s 12Warner Bros’ behind the scenes of Ocean’s 13Julia Roberts getting prankedDon Cheadle’s terrible accentActors playing themselvesMaking Ocean’s 11 + 12 videoOcean’s 12 production notesSoderbergh on Ocean’s 12Bad article about Ocean’s 12 and metafictionHow 9/11 affected Ocean’s 11Ocean’s 12 unpopular opinion reviewIn defense of Ocean’s 12New York Times article about Ocean’s 13Subscribe on Apple Podcasts!Subscribe on Google Play!Check us out on Facebook!Check us out on YouTube!Check us out on Twitter!
