From the time she was 5 years old, Jocelyn McCauley had athletic aspirations. At that time she saw herself as an Olympic medalist.  She channeled her dreams into cross country, a sport she competed in throughout high school and college at BYU.  After graduation, she discovered her love for longer distances and began running everything from 5Ks to half marathons. She registered for her first half-Ironman in 2013 at IM Muncie, completing that race in under five hours -- only 11 weeks after giving birth to her first child. She followed up that performance at IM Texas in 2014 with a full distance, where she won her age group and finished as the 2nd amateur female, qualifying for Kona.  Later that year, she competed at Kona -- her second ever full Ironman -- and was the first female age-grouper to finish that race.  She decided at that time to go pro.  Since then, she has won 2016 IM Mallorca, IM New Zealand in 2017, as well as 70.3 Vichy, France.  She also finished 2017 IM Kona in 10th place, with a 30th place finish in 2018.
