This was an unbelievably emotional, but ultimately rewarding, song to write. In this instance I had to choke down tremendous sorrow for the tragic and untimely death of August Bell; a woman whom I was extremely close to, but not on a sexual level. the dynamic of our relationship was focused much more on making money, having fun, and most chiefly, growing mentally , emotionally, and spiritually. Unfortunately she passed away in 2020 of an overdose and, next to my Mother, losing August is undeniably the most significant and personally impactful event that has occurred in...maybe my life. As you will soon hear, I loved her with every hair on my body, every cell that is a part of me, with every fiber of my soul that sustains my existence. I loved August like God loves. Thank you enjoy.
