Welcome to today’s show – We are going to provide you with some tools for living the Transformed Life every day.Today’s show is called: The Fellowship of the Ring. I’ll not be speaking about Tolkien’s ring, as in The Lord of the Ring, but in what I refer to as a ring or circle of friends. Did you know that even Jesus had His inner circle of friends? Three of the twelve disciples were a part of His inner circle (His ring) of fellowship of friends consisted of Peter, James, and John.If you are able, I want you to grab a sheet of paper and draw a small circle in the center of it – write the name Jesus in that circle. Next, draw a circle around the Jesus circle, and this time write the names of Peter, James, and John. Now draw a third ring, and this time write the names of the remaining disciples. Were not done. Draw another circle and write the Seventy, and finally one more circle, and this time write 120. This small exercise shows us that Jesus Himself wasn’t an island unto Himself. His life intersected with people all around Him. And this is what I want to talk about on today’s Transformed Life Podcast. We will be right back.We need your feedback and your questions. With discussion questions at the end of each chapter, this book will help you dig deeper into what Christian community in the twenty-first century should look like.
