reminds us, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
– We are to hide God’s word in our heart so that we do not sin against God.
we read, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”

Our Feature Segments
A Key Bible verse for Transformed Living: II Timothy
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I memorized this verse from the King James Version:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Let’s dig into this verse together:
Be diligent/Study – We are to be students of the word of God.
Present yourself approved to God
A worker who does not need to be ashamed
Rightly dividing the word of truth
In the Greek the idea here is to cut straight. It’s the idea of cutting lumber. You use a square so that you cut straight. This is what we must seek to do when it comes to Scripture.
We have an AWANA ministry here at SLBC. AWANA stands for: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. The whole ministry of AWANA is simply Bible memorization. Hiding God’s Word in the heart of children. I think we as adults could learn a great deal here. Perhaps we need an adult AWANA ministry at SLBC.

A Key Biblical Principle for Transformed Living: Read the Bible Daily
In Revelation 1:3 we read, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
I know that this verse is dealing with the book of Revelation, but it can be applied to every other book in the Bible. We need to read the Bible daily.
Throughout the years a part of discipleship has been to teach young Christians how to make time in their daily lives for reading God’s word. It has gone by many names:
 Devotions
Bible Reading
In the Word
A Christian Guest for Transformed Living:
Welcome back to Transformed Life Podcast. The Podcast that believes it is possible to live the Transformed Life Every Day.
My Guest today is: Ann Hagenbarth
Welcome Ann. So glad to have you on the program today.
My goal from the Transformed Life Podcast is to invite guests on the program whose lives have been changed by the power of Jesus Christ. Ann, you have testified to having been transformed by Jesus Christ. It has been a real joy to have you and your family as a part of the SLBC family. Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself? Wife, Mother, Christ-follower, etc.
Thank you.
I want to begin by having you share your Salvation story:
Briefly describe your life before you came to Jesus Christ.
Next, tell us how did you come to faith in Christ?
Finally, tell us how God has been changing your life.
Now, I want us to turn our attention to the Bible. Ann, allow me to ask you a few questions that I am sure will inspire our listening audience.
How important is the Bible to you?
What role did the Bible play in your salvation experience?
What role does the Bible continue to play in your life being transformed on a daily basis?
Personal questions about your Bible time:
What is your favorite Bible verse?
What is your favorite book of the Bible and why?
Do you have a favorite Bible chapter? Bible Character?
Is there one particular Bible doctrine that you embrace as a Christ follower?
Ann, if we have people listening to us that have never developed a Bible time, how would you suggest to them to get started? So, I want to ask you:
How did you get started in having a daily Bible time?
What practical steps do learn through the years?
How do you have your daily time in God’s Word?
What advice would you give to other believers who try to start a daily Bible reading habit, but often fail?
How important is it for a Christian to read the Bible daily?
