Team EthaMol quickly conquer the 3 sludgy PCT miles to the Trail Pass trailhead that will take them to Horseshoe Meadow and on into Lone Pine. They encounter their first ranger; who checks their permits and bear canisters, and gives them some restaurant tips for their town visit. Leaving a note in the snow for SOBO to follow, they get to the car park and wait for her, before managing to get a hitch into the quaint town of Lone Pine for beer and pizza.
