When I was in the Military I would hear Instructors tell us that what we are learning may not be applicable right now but its another tool for the toolbox. I never understood it; until i became an instructor, and would need to give context to a lesson with non pertinent information. Now as a Veteran I talk to other Veterans about the tools they use every day for managing life, trauma, and everything in between.
