Today at the Games is a daily podcast bringing you the successes and untold stories of the Pacific Oceania athletes and nations as they compete in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Guest presenter, Cook Islander Brianna Lewis, talks us through our fourth episode.

An interview with Debbie Masauvakalo, Vanuatu Beach Volleyball President, is in today's podcast discussing the spots legacy with Woman back home; the legacy being inspiring the young generation and show them they too could compete on a large stage such as, Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Debbie tell us what the experience was like in the lead-up to these games, including the medal win at the Commonwealth Games Gold Coast in 2018, and how it’s not always been smooth sailing especially with COVID. Debbie also tells us of their incredible initiative, Volley for Change, which was created to empower Vanuatu women and highlight ways of life other than the traditional, sport is for them too.

The Swimming events came to an end during day four so we caught up with the Pacific Oceania swimmers to see how they felt after their final heats in the competition.
