] For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it.

] But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.

-19 ISV] “Should I hide from Abraham what I’m about to do,” the Lord asked, [18] “since Abraham’s descendants will become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him? [19] Indeed, I’ve made myself known to him in order that he may encourage his sons and his household that is born after him to keep the way of the Lord, and to do what is right and just, so that the Lord may bring about for Abraham what he has promised.”

] I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

] Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

] So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
