-4] Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. [3] For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. [4] So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

-18] And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. [18] Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

] I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering.

-13] Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. [13] Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

] God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

] And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
