b] I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.
] Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your law.
] You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.
] So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
] Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
] Study this Book of the Law continually. Meditate on it day and night so you may be sure to obey all that is written in it. Only then will you succeed.
] Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.
] I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
] How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.
-27] “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. [25] Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. [26] But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. [27] When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
