-11 NET] But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! Listen carefully, for I proclaim to you good news that brings great joy to all the people: [11] Today your Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord*.

] “So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say?

-6 PST] Trust in the Lord with some of your heart, and lean on your own understanding. In some of your ways, acknowledge Him, and you can make your own paths straight.

-8] For we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves. [8] If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

] God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

-6] Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. [6] Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

] And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’

-23] “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. [22] On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ [23] But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
