] For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.

] For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

] So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

] If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.

] The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

-32, 36] Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. [32] And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” [36] So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

a] So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free.

] So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
