Not every case of breast cancer begins with the detection of a lump as Mandy Gabriel discovered. In December 2017, Mandy was diagnosed with breast cancer after visiting her GP as she had noticed that one breast had changed shape. At the time of her diagnosis, Mandy was feeling healthy and her two children were aged just 3 and 1 so her diagnosis came as a huge shock. Treatment began immediately & Mandy’s world was turned upside down. In this episode we discuss Mandy’s diagnosis, treatment and the aftermath of cancer as well as the perspective that she has gained from her battle with cancer.
