The director of strength and conditioning for Olympic sports at Georgia Southern University seemed to be on the fast track to becoming a high-paid, Power-Five football strength coach. He soon came to realize that’s not as important to him as he once thought, and now places community, unity and being a mentor for young athletes above his own career goals.
