Episode 40: Race, Reconciliation, Revisited
1 seconds Posted Aug 4, 2020 at 5:00 am.
David sits down with special guests Doug, Lawrence, and Steven to talk through the topic of unity and race in the church again. This time, we try to dig into a few more specifics and hopefully come out on the other side tearing down some of the mental walls that the culture around us tries to put up. In the end, nothing is as beautiful than the truth that we are one in Christ.(Excuse the audio quality. This is just part of the by-product of sitting down with a group this size.)Episode timeline:
— It’s been a minute since all of these topics ignited with the death of George Floyd. How do they think it’s been since then?
— The phrase: “We are all one race in the church. One church.”
— What does it practically mean for us to be “racially reconciled?”
— Do you feel like society has expectations for your based on your skin? How do you fight living against those, and live in Christ instead?
— Is it hard not to be bitter? Why do minorities think collectively? Why does the culture entitle us to hostility?
