And I talk with Professor Bryan Sykes of the University of California-Irvine about his paper titled “Institutional Castling: Military Enlistment and Mass Incarceration in the United States.” The paper was recently published in RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences, and is co-authored by Amy Kate Bailey.
