There are always things that happen to us that we wish did not. The question is: Which is easier to change, our opinion of what happened or the event itself.
I remember in 2001/2002 in a 4 month period I lost my family (divorce), I lost my job, and I lost my father… It was a horrible time… I can look back now and see the lessons I needed to learn in my life, and I can almost look back at that time in fondness… Almost… I am grateful for what I learned from that time, and what is is allowing me to share with you.
So understand, whatever you are going through right now, there is a path forward and life will get better. And whatever things you have been through in the past, look at how they can serve you in the present and future.
You paid the price, might as well use to the best of your ability what was paid for...
This is one of my favorite quotes that really speaks to today's podcast is:
"The same wind blows on us all, it is not the blowing of the wind, but the set of the sails."
