Good, But Sparse
This is a good podcast for TMBG fans, but they post so rarely that it's not really worth subscribing to.

A review of the TMBG podcast
The bottom line on the (totally free, weekly) They Might Be Giants podcast is as follows: these guys are giving away what other bands usually charge for, either because they don't realize how cool it is or because they're really nice guys. Live stuff, rare stuff, album b-sides and excerpts, unreleased stuff, new stuff.
They are giving it away.
Is all of it great? No.
Is all of it even 100% listenable? Well...that depends on your definition of the word.
BUT, it's always interesting.
You never know what you're going to get, but you will smile, you will scratch your head and, most likely, you will ask a friend to listen...just to see the look on their face.
Give it a try; it's twenty plus minutes you won't regret.

A MUST SUBSCRIBABLE THINGS
Unbelievably awesome funny and diverse music from the 30 year plus careers of John and John. YES

Listen!
I've spent 30 years listening to all things Giant and I STILL hear things I have missed! This is a must-listen for any TMBG fan. The Johns put so much love and hard work into everything they do, this podcast is no exception.

The band that keeps on giving
Just when you think they can't give you any more freebies, TMBG reaches into its bag of rarities, live goodies, and more and just keeps giving!

Lots o' Variety
This podcast is perfect for any TMBG fan. The rarities, live tracks, demos, etc span the band's entire career and have included everything in Their variety from the 1983 demo to "Album Raise New & Troubling Questions." A decent majority of what you hear is hard to find material and it's always a pleasant surprise to hear what the band will put out for the next episode. Subscribe!

Best Music Podcast
Been a TMBG fan for years. They have a long history of giving their fans free music, from their Dial a Song days to this truely awsome podcast.
I am always happy to spend my money on new albums and concerts. TMBG live is always a great show. I love that this podcast includes live versions from concerts as well.

Get it
TMBG is the best band and has been creative for 30 years. Get in on this action!!

The most generous band out there
I can't think of another band that puts as much time into giving free content to their fans as TMBG- at last no band who is as successful. The podcast is just yet another example of their incredible creativity. Great stuff.

TMBG Continue to Deliver Incredible Value for No Risk!
Whether or not you're a long-time TMBG fan or a newcomer ensnared by the siren call of their hit singles (which are everywhere, whether you know it or not), the TMBG podcast is right for you. It features plenty of rare, live, and demo tracks (not to mention the myriad of side projects and commisions TMBG has embarked on over the years) to exacerbate the disease of the hardcore devotee and expand the horizons of new recruits while offering plenty of familiar studio cuts and fun videos, new and old, to keep it accessible for the latter; all of which is punctuated by the groggy DJ Cecil who sounds like he would probably rather be doing something entirely different. First time? Don't worry; the Johns are gentle.

A great podcast from a great band!
Honestly, it's hard to argue against free music. TMBG is clearly a band that cares about its fans; not only do they put out completely free music, but they take the time to compile rare, fun music of interest to its fans. If you're a fan of the group, you're insane to not already be subscribed. If you're not, it's a great way to ease into the music of a unique, intriguing, (yes, quirky,) and, most of all, completely entertaining group.

Thanks for this podcast and everything else!
As if years and years of fantastic albums and shows aren't enough, TMBG sees fit to share a fun, funny, musical adventure with us for free on a regular basis! Thanks, guys, for all that you do - keep it coming!!!

Definitely Worth Checking Out
The TMBG podcast, which is currently being put out once a week (and with videos on fridays!), has become one of the things that I routinely look forward to. Some really great stuff ends up in these podcasts, including demos, live performances, the occasional album track, and even some stranger (but very entertaining) things, like odd audio clips and some songs by other artists who are friends with TMBG. For a free service, it's a pretty good deal. The only complaint I've had (and have heard from other people more obsessed and dedicated than I am) is that for fans who have searched out and listened to many of the old demos and unreleased tracks before, new things that you haven't heard before may be harder to come by in the podcasts. Despite this (and it's not really the fault of the band), it's been very enjoyable, and for people who haven't heard many of these, the podcast is probably even more exciting. Thanks, TMBG!

They Might Be Giants
They Might Be Giants Podcast is as amazing as the band itself. After 25 years this incredibly prolific band has built up a huge catalog of material. These podcasts of rare and live material are a true treat, and serve to remind the listener of many great songs the band has crafted. Long live the Twin Quasars of Rock!

They Might Be Giants need to change their name to ...... We Be Giants. The brilliant combination of intelligent humor & satire, without being jaded or pissed off cannot be overstated. Throw away the anti depressants! Just chill out and listen to a couple tunes. I guarantee your mood will change for the better. DO IT NOW ! !

More frequent!!!
The podcasts need to be more frequent and I don't know if iTunes just isn't putting out all the episodes, but if not, u really need to have more and more often.

So much free material!
Wow, TMBG are so much fun... And what a gift that they have posted so much free material.

Lame
As a fan, I'm disappointed. The infrequency of new episodes makes it seem like they're sort of doing the podcast just when it seems commercial.

Great TMBG material
I've gotten away from TMBG's newer material but I have to say the music in these podcasts are classic TMBG. I am totally surprised how enjoyable these are.

What can I say? TMBG is amazing!
I only started listening to TMBG after I went to nerd camp (basically voluntary summer school) and I've been hooked ever since! This podcast is amazing! Gift from the gods!

Stick Your Hand Inside the Puppet Head
As a long time TMBG fan, I have to say this is the best medium, next to a live show, to hear the Johns in. Always a great mix of stuff, old faves, new works and even the occasional fan content. This podcast really highlights their many talents! I would recommend it highly to anyone, but especially to those new to of Brooklyn's Ambassadors of Love.

Doggone it
I don't normally rate anything but doggone it this podcast is soooo good that you want to thank thier mothers. It's a genre assimilating cacophony of sound that takes you on wonderful 20 minute journeys. It's good stuff, Keep it up

This podcast is made of so much awesome, it hurts.
Every single time a new podcast is released, it automatically makes my day wonderful, whether or not it's been good or bad. The randomness and the rarities and... unpredictability, really, makes this podcast a joy to listen to, multiple times! My only concern is that a good amount of podcast material is also released in their free mp3 club, whereas I'd like more "podcast exclusives" as Cecil Portesque tends to call them. And I also want more bizarre and hilarious spoken word segments from Mr. Linnell!
In reading some reviews, I'm amused that one or two people have complained about Cecil Portesque and Juilan Dufy... To let the cat out of the bag, those aren't real people - they're altered voices of the giants themselves, although I think Mr. Flansburgh has done then more often than Mr. Linnell...

Tremendous
What a fun podcast from two of the most creative, innovative and entertaining musicians around. I have been listening to and buying these guys records since college. That's been about 20 years now, ouch. My kids dig them, I love them.

Always Fun, Always Odd
I'm always excited when there's a new TMBG podcast. Full of strange and wonderful songs and segments, I usually get three or four good listens out of just a single podcast. If you like TMBG's brand of quirky music, then there's really no good reason why you shouldn't be listening to this podcast.
